“Yet Another Related Posts” Plugin is a cool and most popular downloaded “related post” wordpress plugin on the top downloaded list by most of the blogger. Before I get to know this plugin, I am using “Similar Posts” plugin from Rob Marsh, SJ. “Similar Posts” works for my blog but later I found out that the relevancy of the topic doesn’t match to each topic on my blog. Some topics didn’t show up under the related posts section which makes me to wonder what happen.

Then, I switch to “Yet Another Related Posts” Plugin which have more features and advanced configuration to meet my needs on the related posts. The relevancy is very accurate up to my expectation and all my related posts are showing up. Finally, I am feeling glad and it works as my expectation. This wordpress plugin supports caching also which will improve the performance of your blog without consume too much server resources.

Installation Steps

1. Download this plugin at WordPress.org website and copy the folder yet-another-related-posts-plugin into the directory wp-content/plugins/
2. Activate it and configure the settings based on your preference such as how many posts you want to show in related posts section and the match threshold strength(consider, consider with weight and so on)
3. You can add your own customize “Related Posts” title section with whatever you like. You don’t need to do anything manually to the wordpress theme files.
4. Display and test it until it meet your expectation!
5. Done
