Install DISQUS Comment Plugin to Get More Control of Your Blog

DISQUS Comment Plugin is a very powerful comment plugin for your blog. This plugin replaces your WordPress comment system with your comments hosted and powered by DISQUS. There are a lot cool features that you wanted most on your comment section. What’s interesting is, you can customize your comment section as your like. Not same as the default WordPress comment which you need to manually add the code and install other plugin to enhance your comment section such as adding twitter, subscribe email and other features.
Another good thing is you can “Top Commentator” widget to your blog. Wow. It is really make me unspeakable when I saw this rich feature pack together all-in-one into a single plugin.

Installation Steps
- Download this plugin from WordPress.org. You can get this plugin supported for blogger.com, typepad, movabletype and tumblr also.
- Unzip the downloade archive to this folder “wp-content/plugins/” inside of WordPress root folder.
- Make sure all the files exist in “wp-content/plugins/disqus-comment-system/”
- From your blog administration, click on Comments to change settings (WordPress 2.0 users can find the settings under Options > Disqus.)
- Enjoy!
[note] Make sure you import all your WordPress comment to DISQUS in order to display existing comments. Otherwise, your blog will show blank comments on all existing posts with comments.

Wow! This is a very nice plugin. But I wanted to ask if there's any option to nofollow the comment links through discus?
and also does discus have any anti-spam technology such as askimet?

Yes. I don't think they have option to nofollow the comment links in this version. Disquss has build-in spam filtering which can automatically filter the spam for you. You can manually mark it as spam comment also.
