New “Lite” Version of Facebook
Facebook September 25th, 2009
Facebook Lite is a clean, fast, and without any games, surveys and quiz display on homepage. The layout is pretty much very simple and not much feature. The chat conversation is disabled also. This is pretty useful for users who looks for privacy browsing and avoiding any chat conversation pop-up with other online friends. Users can’t see which friends are online also.
While other features are still available like Inbox, Wall info, Photos, Friends and Profile. The page loading speed is about 100% faster than original version of Facebook. The simplified version of Facebook let user keep up to date with friend’s update and photos/videos sharing. Commenting is also available in this lite version and faster than usual.
In today’s challenging world, it seems that speed is one of the factor in winning the game now. Facebook Lite is more suitable for advanced users who are looking for social networking in a glance of speed such as message replying, commenting, getting friend’s update and want a better pleasant simplified view.
How to use
Facebook Lite is available to anyone who uses Facebook in English. More languages will be supported very soon. Just go to lite.facebook.com
Conclusion
I like the Facebook Lite version which make my browsing faster than before. It could really save up some of my time instead of always waiting for the page to finish loaded or hit the “Try Again” error message. The increase performance speed is awesome. Try Facebook Lite yourself.
