Many people seems to confuse about passive income and earn income. Before I read “Retired Young” from Robert Kiyosaki, I hardly know the real meaning behind these two terms. Make Money Online from Blogging is not a passive income. It is an earned income. Why? It requires your effort and hard work in order to earn the income. Without working, your income is slightly to decrease overtime.
This does not same with passive income. Passive income should be an income that require less effort. Even without working for months, the income is always steady. Those income are usually comes from investments or assets. Although investments and assets do have risks and may be even will lost money when not planning and analyzing the impact and ROI in a proper way.
Total passive income can be calculated with almost 100% assumption monthly or yearly when you have more experience. But earned income like Adsense and Kontera is fluctuated and depends on latest trends, weather, occasion and so on. Income will be drop when your blog don’t have topic about latest trends searches. Example Michael Jackson, Windows 7, Golf, Stock…. Well, I hope I have all the popular topics in my blog also, if I am able to.
So, I think income that come from blogging like Adsense is semi-passive + earned income. You can still earn income when you are not writing. It is just that it will drop gradually in the long run when your reader had give up waiting for you to post something.
