Which phones are the best choices? Recently, I am searching for reviews on these two gadgets from DiGi. Both have different prices and HTC Legend discount price is 50% of original price. HTC Legend is using Android OS which I am thinking to play around with this new open source OS developed by Google. HTC Legend is one of my favorite smartphone and I wish to get this phone.
So, I went to Digi centre to take a closer look on the functionality of the phone. HTC Legend has a elegant design and attractive aluminum unibody which gives a wonderful feeling to whom hold it on the palm. It is very handy and nice to hold. Lightweight and very slim. But too bad, I saw the edge of the phone has missing some color or scratching. The aluminum body looks not so solid as my expectation. I played around with the touch screen. It is fast moving and responsive. Although it has some little bit lag in some screen, it is still acceptable.
I have come to a conclusion that HTC Legend is not suitable for heavy user but more to light and medium user. The cool aluminum design body is more suitable for people who likes design and slim phone. I haven’t got a chance to test other special features like when there is people calling, can make it face down to mute and lower ringing. HTC phone seems to have more special features which other phones don’t have. The HTC Legend demo set almost run out of battery and there is only one unit at there. It seems that they are trying to sell this phone with the attractive low price. In terms of overall usage, iPhone still wins.
Too bad DiGi doesn’t have HTC Desire available at the moment. HTC Desire only available in Maxis smartphone package. Maxis package is a bit pricey. There is no unlimited data usage and they limit to 500MB per month only. 500MB is not enough especially when using GPS with maps and surfing internet.
At last, I have choose iPhone 3GS with unlimited data usage from DiGi because it is more worth the money after a long time. HTC phone price seems to drop very fast as there are too many different new model comes out in a year. Although I know iPhone OS 4.0 has leaked out and most people are waiting for the new OS, as I know new gadgets will always the most expensive in the market and everyone hopes to get the latest new cool gadgets but I am not. I am iPhone 3GS fans now
