I have been playing with DiGi 3G for couple of days already and found out that the connection speed is not lose to my home Streamyx 1MB broadband line. In my previous post, I wrote about how slow is my Streamyx G.Lite Home 1MB line. There is disadvantage staying in a high rise building where cable speed will be degraded.
I am using iPhone app from speedtest.net to test the 3G connection speed. I found out that my iPhone on DiGi 3G is on a par with Streamyx speed while the monthly price rate of Streamyx is higher 35% than 3G rate although both are giving a similar connection line speed.
When talk about stability, 3G still lose to Streamyx broadband connection. There are times when the 3G connection lost signal of coverage and experience broken connection. Data will be lost into the air when you are transferring data. It is very depending on which area you are staying and which current location the device is.
Which is better? Can’t really debate here as both are using different approach. One is cable line and another one is wide area connection.
