Popular game publisher Chillingo, app search engine Chomp, and apps blog 148apps have created an infographic highlighting most popular apps of the year and total downloaded since the first day launch of Apple Store.
The total apps in Apple Store have double up to 500,000 from last year until today. That is a very huge improvement since the first day of its launch in 2008 is having 500 apps only. The number is still counting.
Majority of the price of the apps was free and $0.99, follow by $1.99. The most popular categories of apps go to games and books. These two categories having the most downloaded apps in Apple Store. Angry Birds still ranked the 1st most popular downloaded apps in the chart.
