PayPal Users Incorrectly Charged $4000 for Purchasing Mac OS X Lion

Several users who are purchasing the latest Mac OS X Lion using their PayPal account are being charge multiple times. AppleInsider reported that one of the user was shocked to see the bill charged amount reach $4000. That was a very huge amount!

Some of them are not able to get a refund. While both Apple and PayPal are accountable for the mistake, they should investigate and refund the amount to the users. Be careful and make sure you check your bill occasionally to prevent any shock news.

“App Store agents have told me this is now a known issue and Apple is investigating the specific causes,” user “teknikks” wrote on the Apple forums. “So far they can only blame an overload in their automated payment system from all the Lion downloads.”

Mac OS X Lion is currently only available on Mac App Store. You can also order a USB installation to speed up the process instead of downloading 4GB of the new OS over the Internet.

AS not many users had fast Internet connection but the move to switch to cloud storage is a new technology and make re-download process easier. Users can download the whole OS X Lion again if they had changed their storage disk. Furthermore, the Mac OS X Lion Recovery is very convenient and easy to use.
