Renaming your iDevice has been relatively easy if you are running iOS 5. You can simply change your device name on the fly and it will take effect instantly. You don’t need to open iTunes and connect your device to computer anymore.
Apple has made it simple and easy to quickly edit your device name without using computer.
To rename your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, go to Settings > General > About > Name
There you go. You can change to any name you want. See above screen shot. I have change my iPhone name to iPhone 5. Doesn’t it looks cool? I just get an iPhone 5
