iPad 2 has been able to jailbreak on iOS 5 by Dev Team. A demo video by MuscleNerd shows the jailbroken device is able to run Cydia without problem. There are still works to do in order to make it perfect and there is no ETA for a public release yet.
Please be patient. The iPhone dev team is working hard to jailbreak the devices. They are working on new models such as iPad 2 and iPhone 4S and the jailbreak still at preliminary stage. The release date is not confirm yet but the developer is definitely making it perfect before releasing it to the public.
The thing to be excited is that iPhone 4S owners who are not satisfied with Apple iOS restrictions can jailbreak their device soon after the jailbreak patch release.
