Apple is expected to unveiled the newest smartphone iPhone 5 in the event at WWDC which going to live on June 2012. Sources quoted the following.

The iPhone 5 will continue to utilize glass to glass (G/G) touch panel technology which will benefit current touch panel suppliers TPK Holding and Wintek, the paper quoted the securities house as saying.

According to various sources, expected date to held WWDC for iPhone 5 event will be fall on June 10th to June 15th 2012.

The most anticipated Apple smartphone is only few months more to unveil. iPhone 5 is a long wait for Apple fans while iPhone 4S may seems like a disappointment for loyal iPhone supporters.

Siri is now working on iPhone 4 by installing SiriPort from Cydia. Note that this is require a jailbroken iPhone to work. Some users had reported not working while some are working on their device but slightly slow due to server overload and unstable.

1. Add repo.siriport.ru source to Cydia
2. Search “SiriPort” and install it.
3. Reboot your device.
4. Install the Certificate from the website siriport.ru/1.crt
5. Activate Siri and say “Hi Siri” Siri won’t work, wait 1-4 minutes and try again. (Say “Hi Siri” again)
6. Repeat step 6 until Siri is activated

The response maybe slow depends on the connection speed and server status. Probably it need some fix to enhance the stability and performance to make SiriPort perfect for normal daily use.

Note: Try at your own risk if you really want Siri so much but can’t afford to upgrade to iPhone 4S.

During the current issue cause by iPhone scalper in China, Apple has launch an iPhone 4S online reservation system on Apple Hong Kong Online Store to fight and prevent scalpers from grabbing all the iPhone stock everyday.

The Apple Hong Kong Online Store page is a special page that can only access during certain time of the day. The page with intention to block bots from keep requesting the page and causes the server to become busy. Currently, the reservation time is 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m and customers need to provide full details of government ID and full name that are match. Customers will be able to purchase up to 2 units of the same iPhone model per person.

In the recent news, Apple also saying that they will not sell iPhone 4S or iPhone 4 to walk-in customers. This is a very good move to fight against scalpers from snatching all the iPhone 4S and selling it at higher price to other customers.

Once the reservation form has been submitted, customers will be notified via email before 9.00 p.m. and pickup your iPhone by tomorrow.

Apple released a new iTunes upgrade version which dedicate especially for iPad users. The iTunes 10.5.3 allows iPad users to sync interative iBooks textbook to your iPad.

iBooks textbooks are created with iBooks Author which are now available as a free download on the Mac App Store.

This update is important for iPad users who are occasionally use iTunes to backup their data instead of iCloud. Some users might prefer the old way to store their backup and are not comfortable with the iCloud syncing platform.

The update is available for both Mac and Windows users.

More than one million of iPhone 4S and iPad 2 users had jailbreak their device since the first 3 days of the announcement by pod2g and iPhone Dev Team. Saurik tweet a message saying 494k iPhone 4S users and 463k iPad 2 users already install Cydia.

The numbers are surprisingly very high consider more than one million devices are jailbroken in just 3 days. The numbers could double up in a month and so on.

Besides that, iPhone Dev Team blog post also updated with the latest total amount of jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 devices.

The one million devices include A5 jailbreaks that using the latest RedSn0w and Absinthe tool while some are using Corona method.

Please remember that the latest jailbreak available iOS is 5.0.1

Updating your iOS firmware newer than this version does not guarantee that you can restore or unjailbreak your device successfully.

Apple is expected to launch iPhone 5 event by middle of this year. Many people very curious about how iPhone 5 design will look like and how much improvement compare to existing model iPhone 4S. Will this be the next Apple iPhone 5?

Tempting specifications include 0.25 inch thick body, HD camera, 4 inch wide-screen, new antenna location and invisible sensor. The overall iPhone 5 design remain the same as iPhone 4S with exception to a larger screen.

Looking at the photo above, the screen is extended to maximize the space on both left and right side which giving more space for better viewing experience without compromising the existing iPhone 4S case design width and height.

What does it means? It is simply mean that iPhone 4S/4 case can be use and attach onto iPhone 5. I know some people resist to have larger screen on their smartphone and don’t like to hold a giant device to answer call or take note.

Given a choice to choose between iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S, will you accept this iPhone 5 design?

One of the user has tested successfully with Samsung Galaxy Note attach to an external USB host cable and able to read data on Pen drive and SD card. With the large and vivid screen on Galaxy Note, user can simply plug-in any USB drive and SD card to play HD movies or photos slide show without performance issue.

Although user can just store the high-definition movies into their device but it could take up a large amount of storage space. With additional feature to read data from external source, Galaxy Note can become a mini entertainment player especially portability is what it offer compare to giant tablet.

The video below shows that using external USB host cable can read data from plug-in USB drive. If this is real, could it possible to attach a single external USB hard disk and read from the hard disk instead?

Pen drive, USB flash drive or SD card has limited storage space but mega storage device like USB external hard disk can really benefit the user and it could the Galaxy Note into a small powerful computer that able to accept any USB device attach to it.

I am not just only like this feature, but I am already fall in love with Samsung Galaxy Note. Although it is possible to run on other Android devices but bringing a tablet to everywhere is troublesome and not convenient.

While Samsung Galaxy Note and the medium 7 inch Galaxy Tab are not a bad choice. Both of these devices can easily bring along together especially the Galaxy Note can be fit perfectly on pocket.
