Siri is now working on iPhone 4 by installing SiriPort from Cydia. Note that this is require a jailbroken iPhone to work. Some users had reported not working while some are working on their device but slightly slow due to server overload and unstable.

1. Add repo.siriport.ru source to Cydia
2. Search “SiriPort” and install it.
3. Reboot your device.
4. Install the Certificate from the website siriport.ru/1.crt
5. Activate Siri and say “Hi Siri” Siri won’t work, wait 1-4 minutes and try again. (Say “Hi Siri” again)
6. Repeat step 6 until Siri is activated

The response maybe slow depends on the connection speed and server status. Probably it need some fix to enhance the stability and performance to make SiriPort perfect for normal daily use.

Note: Try at your own risk if you really want Siri so much but can’t afford to upgrade to iPhone 4S.

During the current issue cause by iPhone scalper in China, Apple has launch an iPhone 4S online reservation system on Apple Hong Kong Online Store to fight and prevent scalpers from grabbing all the iPhone stock everyday.

The Apple Hong Kong Online Store page is a special page that can only access during certain time of the day. The page with intention to block bots from keep requesting the page and causes the server to become busy. Currently, the reservation time is 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m and customers need to provide full details of government ID and full name that are match. Customers will be able to purchase up to 2 units of the same iPhone model per person.

In the recent news, Apple also saying that they will not sell iPhone 4S or iPhone 4 to walk-in customers. This is a very good move to fight against scalpers from snatching all the iPhone 4S and selling it at higher price to other customers.

Once the reservation form has been submitted, customers will be notified via email before 9.00 p.m. and pickup your iPhone by tomorrow.
