Microsoft has launched the new Bing(previously is known as Kumo) search engine. When you go to www.live.com it will automatically redirect to Bing website. So, it means all the Bing searches will be using previous live search engine database.

Microsoft Bing search engine will be powered by semantic search engine Powerset, which a company bought by last year. Microsoft spend lots of money to make sure it’s new search engine known by worldwide users and have confident to become best competitor for Google and Yahoo.

Regarding performance and speed, Bing seems to beat Google and Yahoo in normal searching. The reason of this could be less people using it because it is still very new and that’s why don’t have any overload issue. The searching progress is less than 1 second overall but image searching is having a bit delay and slower loading compare to Google Image Search.

Bing has better user interface and graphics compare to simply design Google search engine. The user interface is look like Web 2.0 with large textbox, bigger and clearer font, more sharp color matching the background and so on.

In terms of keyword search relevancy, this is still another question and need some time to reveal how good of this new beta search engine. So, how many of you are going to switch to Bing search engine in the future?
