So, you will need to stay ahead of the crowd and if you really want your blog to appear in first page of SERP is very hard. You need to have consistent publishing new unique contents or you can tweak your blog with effective SEO techniques. Using wrong technique will increase your chances of being penalized by Google. So, be careful of what you gonna do. Here is how you can stay competitive.

Keep writing fresh and unique contents

Become a content publishing freak. Publish as much articles as you can but make sure the articles are useful and help to increase your reader’s experience. Don’t focus too much on optimizing your keywords tough, you should focus on writing content for human, not search engine. Search engine likes fresh and updated contents. Regular update will increase the crawl rate of your blog also.

Build your brand effectively

If you have difficulty of optimize your niche keywords, you can alternative solution by building your brand and do some internet marketing. This is why internet marketers exist. They build trust, communication and relationship with other people. They usually focus more on communicate with other blogger and users by using social network like Twitter, Facebook and Digg. When they have solid brand already, traffic is usually come from their huge loyal contacts in these social networking community. See my post on how to auto post to facebook.

Tweak your niche keywords

Here you will need to have SEO skill to optimize your targeted keywords to a solid ground. You need to have a lots of support from external blogs which link back to your blog. Example of this, try to search for DoFollow blog comments. This type of blogs gives you link back to your blog and add value to your keyword. The downfall is that you don’t know when they will turn off the DoFollow feature. When they do that, you will lost the backlinks and at the same time it hurts your blog ranking.

Have you ever wonder why your post won’t appear in search engine for some topic you write about? Well, I can said more than 50% of my posts are not well listed on 1st page of Google search engine. Some post even can’t list on page 5 for SERP onwards.

There are factors to boost your website traffic but you must make sure your keywords are not too competitive. Otherwise, you will need more hard work to bring up the keyword in search engine ranking by consistent posting of the similar keywords that you are going to dominate. You won’t see the real traffic coming from search engine until at a stage where your keywords had started to get dominate.

There are other ways which you can diversify the keywords into varieties of topics such as writing different niche. These possibly can work out and easily can see the result from a new blog. Because you don’t need to compete with other bigger blog to get traffic from search engine. The drawback is that you can’t increase traffic much until you have started to dominate a certain keyword and keep a consistency of posting with these keywords. You will end up using a lot of time to do research on the new keywords also. The tricks is to find a topic less talk about by other blogger but the topic must has potential to become popular a keyword search by user in the future. Sounds difficult, huh?

Honestly, I don’t really concentrate on certain keywords in my blog. Maybe that is the reason my traffic is still low and doesn’t match my expectation. Well, I guess I will be having more sleepless night now and must work hard to achieve my expectation.

How about you guys? Do you build your empire of certain keywords already?
